How to play 90 ball bingo

By: Gevie Sanchez
90 Ball bingo is one of the most popular forms of bingo played in the UK. The other types of game are available, however the 90 ball game is definitely the winner when it comes to popularity and tastes in the United Kingdom, and funnily enough also Australia. It is sort of taken for granted that if you live in the UK and play bingo them you would automatically know how to play 90 ball bingo. However, more new players are coming into the bingo playing market.

The statistics tell us that players are starting younger and for online bingo the age group that mostly plays online bingo is the 25 – 40 year old group, usually women. So I would assume that many of these players are new to the game and might want to learn how to play 90 ball bingo.

For the online bingo player, the game of 90 ball bingo in the internet is very similar to that which is played in the land based bingo clubs. Effectively you purchase your cards or as they are known in the UK - tickets, and each player will purchase six of these. The tickets are marked with numbers in nine columns and three rows; with nine squares in each row only five of them are numbered. The other four are left blank and the numbers marked are between 1 and 90. When the caller starts the game, he will call out numbers from 1 – 90 with every number being called through the duration of the game. You have to mark the numbers being called on your tickets, this is called daubing and you can win either on one line, two lines or a "Full House" which would be a full card and would mean that you won the jackpot.

So the first player will win with any horizontal line, the second player will win with any two different horizontal lines and the big prize winner is the full house, which is every number across all three rows in the ticket.

When the first prize is won, the game will continue until the second prize is won, then the game goes on until one player wins a full house and the JACKPO.

Bingo is such a fast moving and easy game that it can be played by virtually anyone. So that essentially is how to play 90 ball bingo. Good luck and have fun!
